I am looking to secure a position in either the networking or IT related fields, which would simultaneously allow me to continue to increase my knowledge of these fields. I believe my thirst for knowledge relating to these areas would benefit any company I am employed with.

Personal Profile

I am based out of Loves Park, IL, but willing to travel and possibly relocate. Most of my experience has been centered around the home computer systems, home networks, and cellular devices. My knowledge continues to grow , as I am extremely interested in branching out into office and larger enterprise environments.

The following is a list of my experiences as a professional in my field. Here you will find a showcase of each of these roles. Rock Valley College

March 2016 - Still Employed

I take care of day to day operations, such as answering tech support phone calls and assisting with walk in clients. Our clients have a variety of needs like issues with networking settings, office programs, and learning programs. On occasion being called to Professors offices to assist with course setups. I was also placed in charge of the colleges Laptop Leasing Program, where take care the filling out of the leasing forms, filing, and restoring of returned laptops.

Walmart Inc.

October 2007 - December 2015

I provided day to day operations of the Connection Center, One Hour Photo Lab, the Site to Store Pick Up Area, Hardware, Sporting Goods, Furniture, and the Electronics Area. I was also charged with keeping track of all contracts, pricing, and stocking of these areas. I provided activation's of cellular devices, troubleshooting, returns, and sales.

Mike's Computer Consulations

February 2014 - Still in Operation

I install clients new home computer systems, home networks, and their other peripherals. I provide tutorials on operating their new machines, as well as setting email, Skype, and any other accounts that the clients needed on the computer system. I also provided consultations on whether to upgrade or replace current equipment.

Microsoft Programs

I am well versed in most Microsoft programs, such as all Office programs. I am also currently studying Microsoft Server 2012 R2.

Cisco Networking Equipment

I have received training with a variety of Cisco Routers and Switches. I am also well versed in the programming of said equipment.

Mobile / Cellular Devices

During my time as a Walmart Associate I gained much knowledge on mobile / cellular devices. Securing the devices, as well as using them to their true potential.

I accepted membership to Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Society, Omicron Eta chapter in September of 2016

2013 - Still Attending

I started my scholastic career as a part-time student, as I worked full-time at Walmart. I would take one or two classes at a time. It wasn't till December of 2015 did I decide to pursue my education at a stronger pace.
